| James Van Horne is a Detroit area panhandler who has a large following in Detroit. Once homeless, t-shirt sales and generous donations from his fans have provided him with an Detroit-area apartment. He is kind and loves to talk baseball. He's become such a fixture of the Detroit event scene, that he's been featured in The Detroit News, NPR, Fox 2 Detroit, The Toledo Free Press, ABCnews.com, and The Guardian (United Kingdom). His three fan clubs on Facebook all have over 300 members and he is also celebrated with fan-created profiles on MySpace.
